LIM College to Offer Masters in Consumer Analytics

-

In a first, New York-based LIM College is coming up with the nation’s first Master of Science (MS) degree in Consumer Analytics.

The business and fashion college received approval from the New York State Board of Regents recently to start offering the new Masters program.

The program will compile the knowledge of various majors and students are required to spend one semester of the course working in a real-time situation for a corporate house.

After passing from the program, the students will be able to better make the business decisions using the data of consumers.

“The field of consumer analytics offers a broad array of career opportunities,” Dr. Susan Baxter, LIM College’s Dean of Graduate Studies said.

“Graduates will be prepared to fill positions as data analysts, trend forecasters, business development specialists, market researchers, and customer relationship managers on the retail, wholesale and brand sides of the global fashion business. And as design and aesthetics, competition, and globalization increasingly impact all kinds of businesses, the skills acquired in LIM College’s master’s degree program in Consumer Analytics can also be applied far beyond fashion.”

The program takes 18 months to complete and will start accepting the applications in fall of 2019.
