Arizona State University ranks first in the nation when it comes to offering the best online media communication bachelor’s degree programs, according to a new Bachelor’s Degree Center ranking report.

The university’s online BA in Mass Communication and Media Studies is taught by Pulitzer Prize-winning professors and leaders in the field of communications. The program has won numerous accolades such as the ‘Mark of Excellence’ from the Society of Professional Journalists.

Bachelor’s Degree Center looked at cost, graduation rate, job market success, reputation, and salary in order to rank the universities.

Colorado State University’s BS in Communication ranked second for providing students with online tutoring, online library, and technical support. The program also offers an online career support center that helps students to explore their career options prior to entering the job market, while the writing center is available to provide feedback and guidance for students.

“[The program] gives students the ability to personalize their course of study so that it meets their specific needs,” the center report said. “CSU-Global provides every student support services to enhance their learning experience.”

DePaul University’s online BA in Communication and Media, which includes journalism, digital cinema and technology in media, ranked third for preparing students for jobs in mainstream media production, government or media relations.

The seven other schools that offer the best online media communication programs, in order of rank, are Bellevue University, Florida International University, SUNY Oswego, Thomas Edison State University, Loyola University New Orleans, University of Texas of the Permian Basin and the University of Memphis.
