Arizona State University-Tempe has been named the best college for offering an online bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, according to a new ranking released by Online Schools Report.

The degree programs were ranked on the basis of seven factors including the quality of the online programs, student satisfaction, online presence, affordability and earnings potential, acceptance rates, and retention rates.

The University of Central Florida’s online B.S. or B.A. in Criminal Justice degree came second in the ranking due to the additional criminal justice certificates it offers to participants. The degree also received high marks in acceptance, reputation, student satisfaction and retention.

Florida International University’s online B.S. in Crime Science ranked third for offering a degree that blends computer science, criminal justice, and forensics.

The report also predicted that between 2019 and 2026, job opportunities within the field of criminal justice are expected to increase by 7 to 17 percent across the country.
