The Sierra Nevada College has announced tuition reduction for in-state students attending classes at Truckee Meadows Community College’s Dandini Campus.
The college has slashed the cost per credit from $237.50 to $225 for attending the classes which are the part of TMCC’s extension program.
The reduction is seen as a relief for students, whose counterparts at the University of Nevada, Reno have to pay $253 per credit.
“This is a significant reduction, in line with our belief that creating many pathways to a college education is good for students and good for Nevada. It’s our civic duty to make education available as many ways as possible,” President Alan Walker said
The college also provides and an online Prior Learning Assessment course and scholarships for the students studying at its extension centers.
“The partnership with SNC is a benefit to TMCC students,” said TMCC President Karin Hilgersom. “Because students can opt to continue their education on the Dandini Campus. The new reduced tuition rate is another way that SNC is providing great value, and really helping students of all ages and backgrounds achieve their goals.”
