Two New York-based colleges have joined efforts to offer students a choice of studying two tuition-free courses a year at any one of the colleges.
Vassar College and Dutchess Community College during a meeting announced the launch of initiative immediately to benefit the students. The students at both the colleges can take any course of their choice.
“Partnerships are key to achieving shared goals. By leveraging the resources of both Vassar College and DCC, we will be able to provide enhanced opportunities for students of both institutions,” Dutchess President Pamela Edington said.
While Vassar President Elizabeth Bradley, said, “Vassar College and DCC have unique capabilities that can benefit the other. It only makes sense that we would collaborate to help expand the educational possibilities on both campuses.”
Vassar college had an exchange agreement with Bard College for years. It is also running various initiatives’ with other educational institutions and community to provide students benefit which they can’t get at their home colleges.
