A new program at Walmart might be the answer to your hopes of a six-figure salary!

The retail giant is looking to hire college graduates for a program that fast-tracks them to store manager positions.

The College2Career program, which kicks off this summer, will provide young professionals with classroom training and hands-on experience at a local Walmart store.

At the end of the program, standout performers will be offered the newly created “emerging coach” position – with an annual starting salary of at least $65,000.

Walmart will also train emerging coaches for the role of future store managers, executives Amy Goldfinger and Lorraine Stomski said.

‘Just the Beginning’

“This is just the beginning,” the store said in a statement, adding that Walmart store managers earned an average wage of $210,000 in 2021.

The program is only available to current Walmart employees. A Walmart spokesperson told FOX Business that around 600 recent graduates and 300 current college students have already signed up for the program.

Walmart’s announcement comes as the US grapples with a tight job market and steady unemployment levels. As of March, 4.5 million Americans, or roughly three percent of the workforce quit their jobs.
