Ashford University has announced a scholarship for San Diego County’s military spouses that will allow them to study for an associate or bachelor degree.
In its ninth consecutive year, the university will offer five Homefront Heroes scholarships which will cover the full tuition expenses.
“We are all indebted to the members of our military community, including military spouses, for the sacrifices they make each day to protect our way of life and to preserve our freedom,” Dr. Craig Swenson, president and CEO of Ashford University, said.
“Spouses of service members often forgo their own education to support the mission. The Ashford Homefront Heroes scholarship recognizes this need and provides an avenue for the wives or husbands of service members to pursue their college degrees online.”
Interested military spouses have to submit two short essays about their career goals and education. The essays will be accepted through November 11, 2018.
