Money Under 30 Announces Scholarship for Women in Finance

-

Money Under 30, a personal finance website, has announced the creation of the Scholarship for Women in Finance to help female students studying business receive their degrees.

The new inaugural scholarship will help women pursuing higher education who are simultaneously expected to be the “bread-maker” within their families.

Two students will be offered a scholarship of $3,000 in total, with the winner receiving $2,000 and the runner up receiving $1,000.

“Today’s young adults are woefully unprepared to face surprise expenses, tuition loans, and mortgages,” Yoni Dayan, chief editor of Money Under 30, said.

“We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to promote female leadership in finance, enabling promising students to reach their goals. We hope that the winners of the MU30 Scholarship for Women in Finance will go on to inspire young women around them to lead financially stable and successful lives.”

Interested students can apply by filling out a form on the Money Under 30 website and tweeting about a financial tip that could bring value to themselves and others. Finalists will later be required to submit an essay about their personal journey to financial health.

The application for the scholarship program will remain open through March 31, 2019.
