Arizona State to Help Indian Colleges Improve Academics

-

Arizona State University (ASU) is partnering with six higher education institutions in India to help upgrade their academic programs to better respond to the country’s economic needs.

The partnership seeks to offer joint degrees and share ASU’s vast faculty and research resources. It will also help bring down the cost of education for students who want to study in the US since part of their majors will already be offered at Indian partner colleges.

NorthCap University in Haryana, India, is part of the Arizona State partnership. The collaboration has been made possible through US education consulting firm, Cintana. “Our strategic three-way partnership is based on solid collaboration focusing on academics, research, and digital transformation,” NorthCap Professor Milind Padalkar said.

“This partnership with NorthCap is unprecedented,” ASU Vice President of Global Academic Initiatives, Julia Rosen, explained. “We’re sharing syllabus. We are sharing our expertise in online learning. We are sharing our 15 years of research trajectory. Right now, we are contemplating dual degrees.”

Meanwhile, Cintana revealed it is already looking at other countries and designing implementation strategies for schools that are interested to become future academic partners of ASU.

Cintana Alliance

Higher education institutions partnering with ASU will be part of Cintana Alliance — a global network of ambitious schools working together to build high-quality academic programs.

The alliance is set to help Indian colleges embrace new education policy by digitally transforming education, enhancing curricula, innovating programs, and expanding research collaborations.

Moreover, it seeks to provide NorthCap and other member colleges the best strategy, technology, and management practices through its team of experts in building and developing universities around the world.

“Through this collaboration, we are excited to bring world-class education to India,” Cintana Education Chairman Douglas Becker stated.
