Brown University Ranked No. 1 Fulbright Producing Institute

-

Brown University is once again the top producer of students who won the prestigious Fulbright award for 2018-19, according to newly released rankings.

The university topped the ranking for the third year in a row with 35 of its undergraduates, graduate students, and recent alumni receiving the awards for the 2018-19 academic year.

“This diverse group exemplifies the very best of Brown’s Open Curriculum,” Rashid Zia, Brown’s dean of the college said.

“These dedicated scholars have actively defined their own education to prepare them for lives of purpose and action. Through their research, teaching and community engagement, they have been actively involved in creating, sharing and applying knowledge here on campus and around the world.”

Princeton University ranked second with 33 grants, while Georgetown University ranked third with 30 grants.

The remaining schools that ranked in the top ten for 2018-19 are the University of Chicago, 30; the University of Pennsylvania, 27; Northwestern University, 26; the University of Michigan and the University of Notre Dame, both with 24; Rutgers University, 23, and New York University, 22.
