Cleveland School of Cannabis Opens New Branch in Columbus

-

Residents of Columbus, Ohio will soon be able to enroll in medical cannabis programs and acquire jobs available in the industry ranging from cultivation to dispensary operations.

The Cleveland School of Cannabis, the first state approved Cannabis Career School in Ohio, has announced that it is opening a new branch in Columbus. The new facility will offer various cannabis-related courses designed by industry experts to boost medical cannabis employment rates within the state.

Since being approved by the Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools, the school has designed both on-campus and online programs in the areas of horticulture, cannabis dispensaries, and the medical application of cannabis.

“Our school’s primary goal is to develop leaders and provide students with the skills and education necessary to take advantage of every opportunity that arises within this new industry,” CSC said in a release.

“Employers can be confident that when they hire CSC alumni, they are getting individuals who are well equipped to represent their company with dignity, expertise, and professionalism.”

CSC also offers tuition assistance and grants for students considering enrolling in its courses. Furthermore, the school has entered into partnerships with state awarded licensees to aid students with internships and job placement.

Recently, many colleges and universities have started offering programs in cannabis. Two years ago, Northern Michigan University started a major in medicinal plant chemistry that attracted more than 230 students from across the country.

Stockton University, Oaksterdam University, Cannabis Training University, Clover Leaf University, Trichome Institute, and THC University offer various minors in cannabis studies as well.
