Syracuse University’s football team defeated Florida State University by a final of 30-7 in a game on Saturday afternoon.
The defeat comes as a shocking surprise for Florida Seminoles who have not lost a single game to Syracuse Orange since 1966.

The credit for the giving Seminoles a blow on the field is being given to the Orange defensive performance, which is credited with four sacks and pressures, after its senior player, Eric Dungey, got injured.

“Defensive ends and defensive tackles were winning their one-on-one battles. As a coach, that’s what gets you fired up. It was not trickery. It was guys lining up and whooping the guy in front of them,” Orange’s coach, Dino Babers told Watertown Daily Times.
“To get a win like this, we need to enjoy it and then get back to work because we want to be consistent and not occasional,” he added.
The big margin by which the Florida State lost the Saturday also prompted its fans to questions the offensive line which fared poorly in the game against Syracuse while Florida’s quarterback Deondre Francois has a comeback for the team.
“I think Syracuse played just as I thought they would,” Francois said. “They brought a good game and gave a lot of hits, but we have to come back from it.”
