Great Northern University Opens Campus in Washington’s Spokane

-

Great Northern University, a Christian school, has received approval from the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) to offer certificate and undergraduate degree programs.

The campus has been headquartered in Washington’s Spokane University District, where the Moody Bible Institute closed its branch last year leaving the district with no higher education campus and students and faculty in a lurch.

“Spokane has had a higher education campus at Fourth Memorial Church for over 45 years. With the faculty and the facility already in place, the faculty began praying that God might bless the founding of a new university. Plans were immediately put into place to pursue the establishment of this institution,” university President Dr. Wendy Liddell said in a statement.

“This has been an incredibly accelerated process involving many people. Their efforts have been truly inspiring.”

The university is presently accepting applications for seven certificate and seven undergraduate degree programs with classes beginning on September 11, 2018.
