Harvard Tops Forbes List of Best Colleges for Second Consecutive Year

Harvard University has topped the list of 650 colleges for the second consecutive year in a new ranking released by Forbes’ on Tuesday.

Forbes’ has ranked Harvard as number one private college and research university in the nation. The university has been placed on the 9th and 5th spot when it comes to being the best employer for women and the best employer for diversity, respectively.

Along with Harvard, the colleges that were able to place in top ten are Yale University, Stanford University, MIT, Princeton University, California Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, Dartmouth College and Duke University.

The colleges were ranked after taking into consideration the benefits schools provide to their graduates, student success in their chosen field, effective support of school to students during graduation, the alumni salaries, academic success, debt students have upon leaving school, student experience, and graduation rates.

The list doesn’t consider acceptance rates, SAT scores and other statistics for ranking the colleges.
