Northwest Christian University to Upgrade Student Information System

-

Oregon-based Northwest Christian University has received a $383,750 grant to revamp its student information system used to maintain student records, according to a press release issued by the school.

Given by M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust of Vancouver, the grant will upgrade the technology platform to connect students with professors, classmates, educational resources, and campus community.

The university has hired a Boston-based student information systems company, Jenzabar, and will use its ‘One’ platform to customize its technology.

“The successful migration to this platform will resource our staff and students with the necessary tools to ‘train purposeful graduates,’ a core tenant of our mission,” said Christopher (Stead) Halstead, Director of Information Technology, who led the campus-wide grant development team.

President Joseph D. Womack said the new platform will meet the needs of a growing and diverse student population enrolled in the university.

“The generous grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust is a game-changer for Northwest Christian University,” Womack said.

The migration to the new platform is expected to be completed in June 2020.
