The University at Albany has announced a 50 percent tuition waiver to all the new students enrolling in MA and MFA graduate programs in studio art.
Apart from the waiver, the university has also announced teaching and graduate assistantship funding to make the program more accessible and affordable for students.
“All students in the highly competitive 2-year 60-credit MFA program are offered Teaching or Graduate Assistantship funding and 50% tuition waiver,” the university release reads.
The program includes teaching students art, including sculpture and installation, printmaking, photography and related media, as well as painting and drawing.
“Regular studio visits with faculty, peers, and visiting artists give rise to critical insight into student’s work; contemporary art-related topics and issues are explored in seminars that complement studio courses and critiques,” the university said.
Applications for the program will be accepted through February 15, 2019.
